TRIP TO HOLLAND - ROTTERDAM & DELFT

pátek 14. října 2016

Hello guys,
How is your life going in these days? I hope everything´s good.

I´m so so happy, that you did like my articles from my trip to Belgium. It means a lot for me. After Belgium, another country which we have visited was Holland.
In this case, I would like to welcome you in my new article in which I will talk about two absolutely amazing and stunning towns in Holland.
This post will be about Rotterdam and Delft, so keep reading.

Since Belgium was amazing, I was much more excited for Holland, haha. Please do not judge me, I don´t know why.
Holland, the country of tulips, cheese, and clogs was absolutely stunning since an initial moment.

ROTTERDAM

The first city, that we visited in Holland was Rotterdam.
After historical Antwerp, Rotterdam is very very modern, yet beautiful.

We visited Euromast, 185 m tall observation tower, from which we enjoyed the view on Rotterdam from an amazing angle. I absolutely adore heights, so this attraction was like made for me. If you are interested in it too, you should go.
After this, we had a lovely walk in the city. We visited the market, which was crowded with amazing food and other groceries, we saw popular cube houses, had a walk in the port and saw few boats. After this, we were totally exhausted so were sleeping like babies, haha.

Euromast

 Popular cube houses.
Can you imagine living in one of these?
Amazing lunch somewhere in Rotterdam, hh.

DELFT

Next day, our next stop was another stunning city, Delft.

When I saw Delft for the first time, I stayed totally impressed.
I can say, that Delft, city which I hadn´t know, that exist before we went on our trip, is now very high in my chart of beautiful cities.
I totally remember myself saying, that Delft is something like Amsterdam in smaller and calmer version.

You can enjoy a boat ride on the canal. In the time, when we were there, they were all green and our guide was making jokes, that they are blooming.

I went trough the streets of this magical city in the hand holding the best ice cream I have ever eaten. I still remember it was with raspberry flavor. Trough city leads canal on the outskirts where people just sit, cafeterias have built their tables there and everybody was enjoying afternoon atmosphere. Delft is full of shops with everything. From bookstores trough antiquarians and record stores to those, which were offering souvenirs for tourists.

Delft makes me very calm and mostly quite a romantic feel. As if the hasty Amsterdam life in the city slowed. But about Amsterdam next time.

If you will ever travel to Holland, do not miss Rotterdam and Delft.

Thank you so much for reading, I really hope it interested you:)
Please let me know if you have ever been to Holland and what do you think about this country.
With love,
Ally.

    1. Right, contrast is very marked. One city is modern while the other one is historical, but you are right, they are both unique :)
