7 REASONS WHY YOU SHOULD GO WITH A BIKE

I´m so thankful to my parents, that they taught me, how to ride a bicycle. When I was little child, I used to ride bike very often. As the years added up, my interest was lower and lower.
I have to admit, that, there were years in which I have not even touched the bike.
Last year we visited Netherlands and Amsterdam, and you can know, that there´s bikes everywhere, and I realized, how much I´ve missed it.
Bicycle is perfect aid for many things, so I decided to show up them to you and you can start your active life with bike immediately. 


You can rent the bike while you are exploring the city, or go for an active vacation and explore even more. You can replace your car or bus with bike as well, or you can just find some good hobby for boring afternoons.


  • FAT BURNING
    Yes, cycling is good for a fat burning. Instead of going to your work 20 minutes with the car, you should go with the bike and do something good for your body. It helps you increase strength, balance and flexibility and it can be as a good cardio.
    Do it for your body, do it for you.
  • BETTER SHAPE
    At the begging, you can set your own tempo. It can be slow, but after some time you will accelerate and with this your condition will become better.
  • BETTER THEN RUNNING
    Althought running is an amazing activity, and I personally love it, research shows, that cycling is easier for your legs, ankles, knees and feet.
    Andy Clark, the president of The League of American Bicyclists says:
    "Whether you're recovering from an injury, looking for a cross-training option or hoping to preserve your knees to run the New York Marathon when you are 85, cycling gets your legs moving and your heart pumping without pounding your joints"
  • LESS STRESS
    You should focus on your mental aspect too, because it´s as important, as your physical one.
    Research shows, that riding a bike is a stress releaser and you will feel relaxed, energized and happier.
  • TYPE OF TRANSPORT
    Cycling is a very good type of transport. Not even, that you support environment and your body, you can easily avoid traffic jam or explore city the fullest.
  • MEET NEW FELLOWS
    There´s so much cycling enthusiasts out there. While you will have your little cycling adventure, you can meet and connect with new people.
  • EVERY TIME AND EVERYWHERE 
    Once you learn how to ride a bicycle, you won´t forget it to the rest of your life. You can do it everywhere, you can do it every time and it never goes out of style.

  1. I haven't been riding a bike for so long, although - now that I'm living in a bigger city I wouldn't even go by bike to anywhere. Traffic is insane sometimes :D

  2. I completely happy with this post. I did running as my exercise before till my doctor told me not to do it again as i hurt my knees. Then I started to cycle and it2 less painful and more fun! Now I wonder if there is any invention of capsule bike. So i can carry my bike easily. Lol :)

  3. I've found that any exercise in general is actually really good for my mental health! I haven't owned a bike in almost 10 years, but I'd love to get back into riding more...

  4. I used to love riding a bike... untill something happened and I now can't ride a bike without getting dizzy or even fainting, while on a bike, even if it's just a quick and easy 5 min trip to the store.. It's quite odd because it started all of sudden, quite like all of my other problems..

  5. I used to bike everywhere all the time. I also biked to exercise and get some perspective. I love discovering nearby places.. But my bike got stolen so I'm kind of saving up and looking around for a good bike. Great insight on biking!

  7. You are right about all the reasons that biking is healthy. Unfortunately I never learned how to do it! Maybe someday!
